Ms. Nekeia J. Butler
Executive Assistant and Outreach Coordinator
Ms. Butler is the Executive Assistant and Outreach Coordinator for the National Coordination Office (NCO) for Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD).
In her role as Executive Assistant, she provides high-level executive and confidential support to the NCO Director and Associate Director. In this role, she is also the administrative liaison to the White House, Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the National Science Foundation (NSF) Computer and Information Science and Engineering Directorate (CISE) on matters relating to the activities of the Director and Associate Director as they relate of the NCO/NITRD Program.
In her role as Outreach Coordinator, Ms. Butler is responsible for creating innovative ways to promote public awareness of the NCO/NITRD.
Prior to joining the NCO, Ms. Butler was a Recruiting Coordinator and an Assistant Manager with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. She performed sales and marketing, and generated new business accounts for the company and monitored preexisting accounts.
Ms. Butler received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Norfolk State University, Norfolk, Virginia.
