Ms. Bell is the Executive Assistant for the National Coordination Office (NCO) for Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD). In this role, she is responsible for providing day to day, high level support to the Director and Associate Director including drafting official correspondence, preparing travel plans and vouchers, maintaining and scheduling appointments and meetings. She is also responsible for maintaining interactions on administrative matters with the White House, Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the National Science Foundation (NSF) Computer and Information Science and Engineering Directorate (CISE). In addition, she prepares responses to all incoming requests for information; schedules the NITRD Subcommittee meetings; prepares the draft minutes of the NITRD Subcommittee meetings, coordinates and prepares the OSTP weekly reports; and serves as a mediator between the Technical Staff and the Director and Associate Director.
Prior to joining the NCO, Ms. Bell was a Recruiting Coordinator and an Assistant Manager with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. She assisted with the incoming procedures for new hires and provided innovative ideas to recruit new employees. She also assisted in ensuring each customer was completely satisfied; generated new business accounts and monitored preexisting accounts.
In 1997, Ms. Bell received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Norfolk State University, Norfolk, Virginia.
