FNC Advisory Committee

The Federal Networking Council Advisory Committee (FNCAC) is chartered by the National Science Foundation to provide the FNC with technical, tactical, and strategic advice from the constituencies involved in the NREN Program, including:

• The research and scholarly communities as end users of the networks;
  
• Organizations and individuals that need connectivity to the NREN;
  
• Electronic transmission and other facilities providers;
  
• Industrial developers and providers of relevant information technology and services; and
  
• Experts in networking and computer science who provide technical guidance to these communities.

The FNCAC consists of up to 24 members who each serve for a three-year term. Members are chosen based on their individual expertise, irrespective of their institutional affiliation.
