Ms. Joyce Lee

Technical Coordinator, Large Scale Networking (LSN) IWG, Joint Engineering Team (JET), Middleware and Grid Interagency Coordination (MAGIC) Team, and Research and Development (BRD) Task Force

Ms. Lee provides subject matter expertise, technical leadership and guidance to the NITRD Program in the area of Large Scale Networking (LSN). In addition, she coordinates the Joint Engineering Team (JET), the Middleware and Grid Interagency Coordination (MAGIC) Team of LSN, and the newly formed Broadband Research and Development (BRD) Task Force. Ms. Lee supports the groups’ activities and opportunities for coordination and collaboration with the NITRD Program.

Before joining the NCO, Ms. Lee was an executive and legal counsel for an information technology company that provided energy and technology services. Her diverse background includes coordinating technical workshops, team meetings and managing projects across government, private and nonprofit sectors. Ms. Lee has served at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission where she drafted and presented Commission orders, managed action items and deliverables, and coordinated technical meetings with industry stakeholders. She has also practiced in the fields of energy and informational technology. A Virginia Supreme Court certified mediator, Ms. Lee is trained in mediation, facilitation and arbitration.

Ms. Lee received a J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and B.A. in comparative literature from Cornell University, with a concentration in Spanish literature.
