Tomas Vagoun
Technical Coordinator
Dr. Vagoun is a Technical Coordinator for the NCO and the NITRD Program. He provides subject matter expertise, meeting coordination, and facilitation, in support of the Cybersecurity and Privacy R&D Interagency Working Groups. In addition, Dr. Vagoun provides technical writing and editorial support for various federal plans, technical documents, and other reports related to his areas of expertise, including NITRD’s Annual Supplements to the President’s Budget.
Prior to joining the NCO, Dr. Vagoun led the implementation of software development projects for major federal civilian and defense agencies. He also led the development of webhosting and telecommunications services at several global telecommunications providers.
Dr. Vagoun received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Maryland, a M.S. and a B.S. in Computer Science from West Virginia University.
